Maddie Bergeron is from Mandeville, Louisiana where she played club volleyball from 8th to 12th grade. Before she graduated high school, she became the assistant volleyball coach at that private school her senior year. Maddie lived in Mandeville till she moved to Mobile, Alabama where she attended the University of Mobile from 2018-2022. Maddie played five seasons of indoor volleyball as a defensive specialist/libero and two seasons of beach volleyball, including the year of the University’s first inaugural beach season.

Bergeron was the co-captain of the Rams for three years which included a conference championship title, championship runner-up and two appearances in the opening round of the national tournament. During that tournament, Maddie surpassed 900 digs and 100 aces for her career and was a NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete as well as a member of the Conference All-American team from 2019-2022. She was also named the team’s Champion on Character for the SSAC during her final season. She graduated from University of Mobile with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Ministry.

Maddie coached club ball from ages 15-18 years old and was the assistant director for Challenge Volleyball Club in Covington, Louisiana. During that time, she ran developmental leagues, clinics, camps and private/group lessons. She also coordinated and ran skill clinics in Portland, Maine with FCA volleyball in 2021 and 2022.

Maddie now resides in Saraland, working full-time in Mobile County as a Area Representative for FCA and she is so excited to continue her coaching journey with LAV!
