Coach/Staff bio

Lizzie Clough is from Mobile and graduated from Murphy High School in 2009 where she played basketball, track/field, softball, and volleyball. She was chosen to compete in the AHSAA All-Star Game for the South team and was named 1st team All-State and All-Area for volleyball as a senior.

Competing in volleyball and track & field at Troy University, she was a two-time Academic All-American, won a gold medal at the 2013 Sun Belt Track & Field Conference Championships, and named the 2013 Sun Belt Female Athlete of the Year. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in sport and fitness management with a minor in business and a master’s degree in athletics administration, she began her coaching career with Troy, who posted a school-record 10 conference win season, which helped the Trojans to a program-best second place finish in the Sun Belt.

As the assistant coach at Troy, she oversaw most of the daily operations which included opponent scouting reports, analyzing game film, practice planning, and game-day preparation. She is currently working with the University of West Florida volleyball coaching staff in a similar assistant coaching role and also serves on the USAV Gulf Coast Region Board as the Director of Adult Programming. This will be Lizzie’s eighth year with LAV.
