LAV REGULAR SEASON TEAMS

Season Team Levels

The LAV Club Volleyball Program offers teams for players of all skill levels. Our national teams train and compete against the top clubs in our region. They participate in national-level events throughout the season and culminate the season at the USAV National Tournament, where they travel to compete against top clubs nationwide. Our Regional teams focus on training and playing at a regional level, catering to players who participate in multiple sports but still want to travel to a few out-of-town tournaments. Local teams train and play at a local level, providing a starting point for new players and accommodating those with who participate in other activities.

LAV utilizes a style of coaching called Master Coaching. With Master Coaching, teams on the same levels but of all age groups train in the gym on one of our 6 courts at the same time under the direction of our qualified Master Coach along with the team's Head and Assistant Coach. Our Master Coaches are here to create an elite coaching experience while fostering team culture and elevating skills in practice and competitions.

National Teams

National Teams - Ages 12-18

Description: These teams are for players who want to commit to playing volleyball at the highest level and are committed to practicing 2-3 times a week and playing in 11/12 tournaments in the season January-July.

Practices: Teams will practice two-three nights during the week depending on the weekend competition schedule. All national teams will practice together on the same night with the exception of the 12's.

Tournaments: National teams will play in 4 local events which will include GCR Regionals and will travel to 7-8 events. All National Teams will travel to Atlanta, New Orleans, and Orlando. The 14's-17s will also travel to Kansas City.

Commitment Level: If you play another sport, volleyball should be your 1st priority and will have to be the sport you choose if there are conflicts. The goal of our national teams is to qualify for the Girls Junior National Championships held at the end of June and beginning of July (depending on age group). When you commit to a national team, you are committing to start practice November and play through the end of June.

NOTE: (The only exception is the 18's. This team will decide its schedule after tryouts.)

Coaches: Coaches for our nationals teams have multiple years of successful coaching experience in high school, club and college. All our National Team coaches have played collegiate volleyball and or coached collegiate volleyball.

Dedicated Recruiting Coordinator: Laura Johnson is our LAV Recruiting Coordinator. She works with our athletes in our 15's-18's divisions to help guide them in the athlete-driven process of finding the right fit. For 2025, we will be using Sports Recruits, the top recruiting platform in the nation, to aid in our recruiting efforts. A dedicated Recruiting Coordinator and Sports Recruits is included when you play with LAV.

Price: National teams price is coming soon! The LAV price is an ALL IN price and includes all tournaments for the entire season through Nationals, all facility costs, coaches expenses, and your LAV equipment. $3700-$4200. We do not ask for more money once you make a team.

Parents will pay their own travel for the player/parent to the events. All teams have flexible payment plans as well as an opportunity to individually fundraise. Many players fundraise their entire dues.

Regional Teams

Regional Teams - Ages 12-18

Description: These teams are for players who want to play volleyball at the highest level and are committed to practicing 2 times a week and playing in 8 tournaments in the season.

Practices: Teams will practice two nights during the week. All regional teams will practice together at the same time (with the exception of 12's.)

Tournaments: Teams will play 5 local events and will travel to 3 events in Atlanta, Jackson, MS and Birmingham.

Commitment Level: When you commit to a regional team, you are committing to start practice in Jan and play through the end of April. We will also hold 2 weeks of clinics in November/December for all our regional teams. Regional teams are appropriate for a multi-sport athlete who cannot make volleyball their first priority.

Coaches: Coaches for our regional teams have multiple years of successful coaching experience in middle school, high school, club and college. Many have played or coached collegiately.

Price: Regional teams price is coming soon! The LAV price is an ALL IN price and includes all tournaments for the entire season through Regionals, all facility costs, coaches expenses, and your LAV equipment. $2200-$2400. We do not ask for more money once you make a team.

Local Teams

Local Teams - Ages 11-18

Description: These teams are for players who can commit to practicing 2 times a week and playing in 6 local tournaments in the season. The main differences for our local teams is there will be no out of town travel, the season will start in November with clinics.

Practices: Teams will practice two nights during the week. All local teams will practice together at the same time (with the exception of 12's)

Tournaments: Teams will play in 6 local events

Commitment Level: When you commit to a local team, you are committing to play January through April . We will also have 2 weeks of clinics in November/early December for all our local teams. If you are a multi-sport athlete, this can be accommodated on a local team.

Coaches: Coaches for our local teams have experience in middle school, high school and club. Many have played collegiately.

Price: Local teams price is coming soon! The LAV price is an ALL IN price and includes all tournaments for the entire season, all facility costs, coaches expenses, and your LAV equipment. $1700-$1900. We do not ask for more money once you make a team.
